Ok, this is not what will be here when i pull my finger out but to start with my stories of my interactions with crystals, here goes.
I was sceptical about them helping our health until a friend helped me with Amethyst for a severe headache. I had tried everything, strong painkillers, dark room, lying down, etc in a bid to relieve the pain, nothing had worked. My S.O at the time told me to go lie down while he "cleansed" his amethyst cluster which he then gave me. Before i knew it i was soundly asleep. He came into the room a short time later to find me asleep and the quite large amethyst cluster was in his words "red hot".
The next morning i woke pain free although very drained, tired and took day off work to see Dr, i had been convinced i had suffered a migraine, i was told it was an extremely bad tension headache and advised of alternative pain relief if required.
Later that day i again felt the headache regaining its hand on me. Instead of diving for the ibuprofen i grabbed the amethyst and sat quietly with it, i could feel the pain drifting away.

When i first began my interest in crystals i was picking up pieces of banded agate, mainly in white. But earlier than that i would pick up any rocks that glittered in sunlight, mainly sandstones with quartz providing the glitter(?)
On my first visit to The Elephant Shop www.elephantshop.com.au i bought again glittery type stones, chalcopyrite being one of them, also known as peacock ore.All were smaller sized pieces so i had a range of shapes and colours. Later visits would find me buying Fluorite by all shapes and sizes. It is still a favourite of mine but these days i tell myself "you have enough at home". I found i had to do the same thing again recently with Rose Quartz.
With growing knowledge my crystal collection has grown with it. Today i find in my collection as previously stated Flourite, Hematite, different Agates, Calcites including Manganocalcite, Onyx, Amethyst, Citrine, Rose Quartz, Aventurine, Sardonyx, Turquoise, Labradorite, Ulexite, Rainbow Obsidian, Apache Tears, Apophyllite, red and gold Tiger Eye, Tiger Iron, Malachite, Sodalite, Ametrine, Clear Quartz, Rutile Quartz, Smokey Quartz, Snowflake Obsidian. There are many more crystals in my collection whose identity needs to confirmed, or even located! LOL!!
